Celebrating Neurodiversity with the Wee ADHD Tartan Co.

Our founders Beth and Mel are absolutely thrilled to share the beginning of this exciting journey. This upcoming social enterprise has been created with a very special mission at its heart and a focus of celebrating, connecting and advocating for the ADHD community across the globe. By weaving our shared experiences and personal strengths together we aim to create something not only tangible but also uniquely neurodivergent.

‘A Spark of ADHD’ is a tartan designed to represent the core beauty and power of our ADHD community. It celebrates the values of our inclusivity and creativity and aims to honor our ADHD and Neurodivergent Communities. Capturing that quicksilver flash of insight - the electric moment when focus ignites from chaos, the central Orange symbolises the intense ‘spark’ and rapid fire energy that can light up the mind and the world alike. The palette was carefully selected, Gold representing Neurodiversity and the Deep Blue tone providing a calming balance effect, which is so essential for our community. This Tartan is intended to be used by the designers to promote acceptance, dignity and understanding for ADHD individuals and families. Also, to advocate for a future of greater recognition of the value of the ADHD mind within a more empowering and inclusive society.

We are proud to be part of a vibrant ecosystem of Neurodiversity tartans. While we are not the sole representatives of this movement, we are dedicated to celebrating the beautiful brains within our community.

Rooted in the rugged and captivating landscapes of the highlands, our company uses the ancient art of the loom to advocate for a more empowering and united future. It is about recognising the incredible value of the ADHD mind within our society and we are dedicated to creating products crafted with love and with sensory needs in mind. This is a space where being Neurosparkly is celebrated rather than managed.
